Comic Drawing and Others...

Hello again!!! It's been a while since my last post, but here are 2 new pics and I'm gonna have some new art in the next week or so. Been busy with anything else that can take up lots of time: work, sleep, and as much reading/drawing as I can cram into my pulsing, headache infested mind. All and all I'm doing all right, just working on my first comic which I have titled "Saturday Starts On Tuesday!!!" and I'm getting the character designs down while investing on story development. In fact these 2 pics are some sample pages from my development of this comic. Like watching a flower slowly bloom into something pretty, but instead my flower is covered in soot, blood, and lottery tickets. Anywho enjoy the art, the music, and I will post later on to all you peoples. Laters....WHOOOOOOSSSSSHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

A Painter Portrait!!!

Hello again Spacenoids!!! It's been a bit since my last post, but there is a really good reason for it: WORK!!!!!!!!! 

Been way to busy for my own good. I needed the change in pace due to my long rut of doing hardly any artwork for a couple of months due to work, but the work I do now is all about the drawing so I hope this continues for my own good and artistic discipline. Anywho this new piece I drew for a class portrait project, even though I'm still learning the ropes of the program, is of a Steve McCurry portrait photograph of a Monk from somewhere in southeast Asia or Tibet, I forget, but this is my second piece I finished in Painter :) 

I'm really falling in love with this program, and it's beginning to carve out a pretty big hole in the creative center of my oh-so-imaginative art mind, and it feels good. My next piece is going to be an original scene drawing & painting of either a Grimms fairy tale or Hans Christian Anderson story. Thinking of making a 2 page splash or full spread page of a scene with various side panels to develop the story around the scene. I'll scan some sketches in later. Anyway, enjoy the portrait and have a safe trip spacenoids!!! ZOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!

 

Pages....

I drew these pages during my last quarter at SCAD (Savannah College of Art & Design) for my senior project presentation. Overall, my professor, classmates, and other friends I had shown these pages to really liked them. I have been thinking of carrying on and developing a story with these pages and the characters depicted within in the near future. I have been writing some plots out for chapter development, but nothing has really sunk it's teeth into my mind yet. I'm getting there though, so that's half the fun. Anyway, I wanted to put a few pages up until I put up some new sketches and designs for a compare and contrast kind of battle with this soon to be older post.

Other things that are preoccupying my mind are work, my Painter X class, and a looming interview for a possible job in the animation biz that just got cancelled and rescheduled. All and all, I'm still calm with these issues on my mind, but with it being a zillion degrees outside with June coming to a close, I'm hoping that July will be a tolerable and satisfying month with something new to help me relax rather than stress my brains out. I know I promised some new work this weekend for all you phantoms out there, but with work and digital files that go on digital strike, well, time makes fools of us all. Plus, Fathers Day was looming on the horizon so...by this early or late afternoon I will have my first pieces and sketches up for all to see. Hope everyone had a great Papa's Day!!!
