Been way to busy for my own good. I needed the change in pace due to my long rut of doing hardly any artwork for a couple of months due to work, but the work I do now is all about the drawing so I hope this continues for my own good and artistic discipline. Anywho this new piece I drew for a class portrait project, even though I'm still learning the ropes of the program, is of a Steve McCurry portrait photograph of a Monk from somewhere in southeast Asia or Tibet, I forget, but this is my second piece I finished in Painter :)
I'm really falling in love with this program, and it's beginning to carve out a pretty big hole in the creative center of my oh-so-imaginative art mind, and it feels good. My next piece is going to be an original scene drawing & painting of either a Grimms fairy tale or Hans Christian Anderson story. Thinking of making a 2 page splash or full spread page of a scene with various side panels to develop the story around the scene. I'll scan some sketches in later.
